The accommodation and fittings were all brand new and never been used by anybody before. Complete luxurious experience. You can lie in bed and watch the sun rise. A nice touch to have coffee, sugar and a few other basic ingredients in stock.
The road to Myrtle Beach crosses the river at the same location as the Bay Club, so it can get pretty noisy sitting on the balcony watching the sun set over the marsh. This does not ruin the experience once you have tuned the sound out.
If I was any sort of angler I would imagine this place would be heaven. Docking facilities, place to fish, place to wash down, it's all there.
There is lovely stroll to the centre of the river across the old bridge. Georgetown is within walking distance (1.2km), with plenty of shops bars and museums.
All together a fantastic couple of days.

We had a wonderful stay at the Winyah Bay Club. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully maintained, and the grounds were absolutely lovely. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the quiet atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the property. We’re already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend the Winyah Bay Club to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway.

I cannot wait to come back
I cannot wait to come back! All modern, new and so tastefully decorated. The entire site is amazing, right on the water. We pulled up in our boat from Savannah en route to Virginia and was just amazed to have a beautiful, new slip right in front. We ordered delivered groceries and picked up shrimp on the docks in Georgetown and found the kitchen well-stocked with exactly what we needed. Parkers is two doors down for supplies, food, ice when it was time to hit the ICW again.
